Havelid’s Gilner-Reeves Award goes to work for Gwinnett families
On March 21st, Atlanta Thrashers defenseman Niclas Havelid was recognized for his work in the Atlanta community with the 2008 Gilner-Reeves Award. The award is named after Stephen Gilner and Steve Reeves, two Cobb policemen killed in the line of duty in 1999.
Gilner’s wife Elisa and daughter Nikki gave the award to Havelid at the March 21st Thrashers game in recognition of his work with Havelid’s Helpers and area Habitat for Humanity home builds. Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce that Mr. Havelid has donated part of the proceeds of his Gilner-Reeves award to our home build starting in Tucker in September!
